Pasi Eerikäinen was born in Japan and started playing violin there. When his family moved to Finland, he continued his studies in Rauma music school with Raoul Gothoni and Åke-Erik Renqvist. Later he studied in Tampere Conservatory with Eeva Koskinen and in the Sibelius Academy with Petri Aarnio and M-Kyung Lee, graduating in 2006.
At the moment Eerikäinen is working as a violinist in the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and performing as well as a soloist and chamber musician.
He plays also a lot of contemporary music in the Jousikaiku Quartet, Riku Niemi Orchestra and Uusinta Chamber Ensemble.
He has worked as the concertmaster in the Turku Philharmonia, Chamber Orchestra of Lapland and Oulu Sinfonia.
